Position Description – Assistant Head of Senior School
We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator to join our school as the Assistant Head of Senior School. Reporting to the Head of Senior School, the Assistant Head of Senior School is a member of the Secondary Executive team and provides leadership in the areas of student pastoral care, culture and behaviour. The role works closely with Heads of House, teachers and families to support positive student outcomes and foster a connected and flourishing Senior School community.

- Six month contract English/Humanities Teacher role for Semester 1, 2027 at 0.8FTE with experience in teaching up to Year 10.

St John’s Grammar is seeking an experienced Science Teacher for a permanent role commencing in Term 1, 2027. The successful applicant will teach Science across the Middle and Senior Schools, including developing engaging and challenging learning experiences for students in Years 7–12. The successful applicant will be an innovative educator who builds positive relationships, responds to individual learning needs and actively contributes to the broader life of the School

Head of Music – 1.0FTE
Position Description – Head of Music
We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator to join our school as Head of Music.
The Head of Music is responsible for leading and developing Music education across the Middle and Senior Schools, fostering excellence in teaching, learning, performance, and student engagement. Working closely with the Performing Arts team, this role provides strategic leadership of the curriculum, co-curricular music activities, staff, tutors, and ensemble programs, while inspiring students to achieve their personal best.
This position combines leadership responsibilities with a teaching load and offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the culture and life of the School. The teaching load will form part of the Secondary Campus program.
