The Weekly Update is sent to families each Thursday evening, and is a great source of important information, news and upcoming events.
The Synergetic Portal is where parents can view and set-up their School Fee payments, view School Reports and book Parent/Teacher interviews, as well as elect to share their contact details with other families in their child’s year level cohort.
The Canvas Portal provides parents access to the School’s Learning Management System, where parents can view their child’s assignments, homework and grades.
For parents with students in Years 3 – 12.
General information on the School’s Bus Services is available here.
Rollcall is the school’s bus management system and the portal allows parents to alter bookings, manage their children’s absences and set the notifications that they want to receive (eg. arrived at bus stop).
ACCESS OUR PAYMENT PORTAL HERE
The Payment Portal is where families can pay for special events and activities, enrolment confirmation fees and make donations to the School’s Foundation.
St John’s Grammar School provides all technological devices (tablets/laptops) for our students between Reception and Year 7 (Year 7 students then retain their School-supplied device until the end of Year 9) – these are provided all inclusive of School Fees.
The School offers a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program for students entering the School in Years 8 – 12. Students at the Secondary Campus are able to bring a laptop of their choice for use on the School’s network.
Students commencing in Years 8 to 12 have the choice to supply their own laptop for use on the School’s network, or purchase a school-supported device through our supplier, Compnow.
To assist the School in providing the best integration with our student’s learning requirements, if your child will be bringing their own device, we request the following hardware specifications for all BYOD machines:
Minimum Specifications
- Core i3 Intel / M1 (Apple Silicon) Processor
- 4GB RAM
- 128GB SSD Storage
- 802.11 AC WiFi (WiFi 5)
Whilst these minimum specifications will ensure the capability to run the majority of our software, to allow for your child’s machine to have the maximum lifespan and variation of uses possible, we recommend considering the following specifications when purchasing a machine:
Recommended Specifications
- Core i5 Processor
- 8GB RAM
- 256 GB SSD Storage
- 802.11 AC/AX WiFi (WiFi 5/WiFi 6)
School-Supported Device
We also offer a school-supported device should parents prefer this option, and following extensive research, the School has selected the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 as the preferred option for this device from 2024.
This device is available through the School’s supplier, Compnow in either an 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD or 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD configuration, bundled with a STM Dux protective case.
For orders and pricing, please go to the School’s Compnow Order Portal.
If you require any further information, please email the School’s IT team at helpdesk@stjohns.sa.edu.au.
