St John’s Grammar School Uniform

The St John’s Grammar School uniform helps students to generate a sense of belonging and is an important part of creating an identity for the School in the community.  The uniform also teaches students to dress smartly and take pride in their appearance while focusing on their schoolwork.

Ordinary Hours of Operation

The Uniform Centre is open at the following times during Term 3:

  • Monday 3 – 4:30pm
  • Thursday 1 – 5pm
  • Every second Saturday from 9am – 12pm (15 August, 29 August, 12 September)

Due to social distancing requirements, we ask that only one family enters the Uniform Centre at a time. If you have any questions, please email uniforms@stjohns.sa.edu.au.

Online school uniform orders continue to be available and encouraged where possible, and these ‘click and collect’ orders can be made via your family’s Flexischools account and collected from the Junior or Secondary Campus Reception areas.

Online Purchases via Flexischools

We offer a “click and collect” service for uniform purchases to suit our busy families.

Orders can be made online by following these simple steps:

  1. Login to your Flexischools account (flexischools.com.au)
  2. Click: ‘online ordering’
  3. Click: ‘order uniforms’
  4. Choose your collection point (Junior School Reception or Senior School Reception)
  5. Find item
  6. View sizing guide (see the link below each uniform item)
  7. Select size and quantity
  8. Place order
  9. Wait to receive email confirming collection time*

Returns – Items with tags attached can be returned for a full refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase.

*Orders placed after 5pm on Thursday 25 June will be available for collection from the Retreat House Reception, Secondary Campus, from Friday 17 July. Click and collect will return to ordinary operation at the conclusion of the July school holidays on Tuesday 21 July.

Uniform Centre

For new families attending our School, a uniform fitting service is available at the Uniform Centre.  Please park in the carpark behind the John Bray Centre for Performing Arts and follow the signs to the Uniform Centre entrance.

Uniform stock

The full range of uniform is available for purchase online and in the Uniform Centre.   All items, other than shoes, must be purchased from the Uniform Centre only. Visit Uniform Price List for a complete list of associated prices.

Black college-wear shoes are to be worn with the formal uniform, and sports shoes (not leisure shoes) with the PE uniform. Please refer to the School Shoes document that outlines acceptable foot attire. The approved styles are available at Fairley’s in Blackwood or can be purchased from any store of your choice.  Please note, black leather shoes are only required for Years 3 – 12. Sports shoes are worn from ELC – Year 2.

Which Uniform to Wear?

Summer uniform is worn in Terms 1 and 4 and winter uniform is worn in Terms 2 and 3. Students may choose to wear a uniform out of season, in response to the weather, however the uniform must be worn in full.

There are also times when students may be required to wear a particular full uniform or uniform item as directed by the School, for example, wearing full summer uniform with blazer during a music performance or an excursion to Government House.

Secondhand Uniform Shop

The Parents and Friends Association run a Second Hand Uniform Shop at the Junior Campus.

The shop is located in the ‘Railway Cottages’ at the Eastern end of the Campus, near the playing fields. For those parents that are not familiar with the Junior Campus, please follow the signs.

The shop is run on a commission-based system. Gently-used items of uniform will be sold at approximately 50% of the ‘new’ price. The P&F will retain 15% of this amount as commission.  Sellers will be paid for items that have been purchased (minus the 15% fee) via direct deposit to a nominated bank account, once, twice per Term.

If you wish to offer items of uniform for sale, please deliver them with the completed UNIFORM DEPOSIT FORM to either the Junior School Front Office or Retreat House Reception. Members of the P&F will collect and label the items and add them to available stock.
