  • 12 month replacement contracts

St John’s Grammar is committed to the wellbeing of our students and the Student Counsellor and Wellbeing Assistant roles are an integral part of our circle of care for our students. We are looking to fill both roles on a part time basis for a one year replacement contract each. Please note that we are accepting applications for each role separately, as well as willing to look at the possibility of combining the two roles into one role working 5 days a week for a suitably qualified and experienced applicant.

Student Counsellor (Tue/Wed, 40 weeks of the year)
The Student Counsellor will provide one-on-one counselling care and support for our students and works in partnership with parents, caregivers, teaching staff, wellbeing assistants, and school leadership to provide wellbeing and counselling support to students across our Secondary School. In addition, they will provided student workshops and resources to support the psychoeducation of the community and contribute to Wellbeing events.

Wellbeing Assistant (Mon/Thu/Fri, 40 weeks of the year)
The Wellbeing Assistant works in a team to provide support to secondary school aged students with their wellbeing, including regulating emotions to be able to access the curriculum. In this role you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to support students and you will ideally be a warm and enthusiastic person who is able to engage and develop positive working relationships with students and other staff.

Relief Teachers
