St John’s Grammar School is delighted to be able to present the 2026 Choirs in Concert. This will be held at 6pm on Thursday 4 June (Week 6) at Edwardstown Baptist Church, 54C Dorene St, St Marys. The following ensembles will be participating:
- Senior Vocal Ensemble
- Secondary School Choir
- Year 12 vocal Ensemble
- JS Concert Choir
- JS Junior Choir
- P&F Community Choir
Family and friends who would like to attend need to purchase a ticket ($8) via Trybooking.
Choirs in Concert – Performance Information
All students need to arrive at 5:30pm and meet in the Green Room. At the end of the concert, students will be dismissed from the foyer, at approximately 7:45pm. A detailed letter with tech rehearsal details, the ticket link, and information about what to wear will be sent closer to the concert date.
Weekend Rehearsal Information
A weekend rehearsal has been scheduled to allow students to work within their vocal ensemble. Attending the weekend rehearsals is crucial in preparing for the concert. These rehearsals also provide valuable time to strengthen ensemble cohesion and balance throughout. Full attendance ensures both individual progress and a polished, unified performance for each vocal ensemble.
Below are the dates and times for each ensemble:
Sunday 31 May
- Senior Vocal Rehearsal, 9:30am – 10.30am, JBC Drama Room
- SS Choir Rehearsal, 10:45am – 12pm, JBC Drama Room
Please note that the following rehearsals for String and Woodwind Concert/Flutes are also taking place on this day:
- Intermediate String Ensemble, 9:30am – 11:30am, JBC Classroom
- SS Orchestra, 12pm – 2pm, JBC Theatre
- AMEB Flute Exams, 9:30am – 12:30pm, JBC Theatre
