This week we have launched the 2026-27 leadership positions that will be part of the Student Leadership Committee for 2026-27 and how students can apply. These roles include:
- School Captains and Vice Captains
- Senior School House Captains for Gooch, Halstead, Moffatt and Prince
- Ambassador roles in Wellbeing, Reconciliation, Sport, International and AWARE.
Each position gives students the opportunity to represent their peers, contribute to school life, and help shape our community. At St John’s Grammar School, leadership is about service, reliability, initiative, and the willingness to support others.
The application process is now open. Each role requires a written application and more specific details of the application, can be found in the specific role descriptions, on Canvas School Life, under Leadership. Applications for School Captains and Vice Captains are open to current Year 11 students only and Senior School House captains and Ambassador roles are open to all current Year 11 and Year 10 students. Applications for all roles are due to Ms Roget nroget@stjohns.sa.edu.au by Friday 29 May (Week 5) and students are allowed to apply for more than one role but can only hold one leadership position in the SLC. Selection processes are outlined in each specific role description and leadership selections made by the end of Term 2, with the SLC induction to occur in Week 1 of Term 3. We look forward to seeing our Senior School students step forward and take this opportunity.
