On Thursday 7 November at the Junior School and Friday 8 November at the Secondary School, we will hold the School’s 6th Annual Festival of Ideas. This event is an opportunity for the students to use their agency, entrepreneurial, creativity and innovation skills in an authentic festival atmosphere with the school and community.

This year’s theme is ‘Ignite the Future.

We know that our students have ideas, passions, knowledge and attitudes that that can shape a better future here in South Australia, Australia and the world. At St John’s we seek opportunities to give our students the chance to be knowledge divers, problem seekers and solvers and future change agents. We know that there are demanding changes in attitudes and behaviours for the environment, AI, Space, technology, innovation and social collaboration and we can’t wait to see what our students have to offer.

Message from the Deputy Principal – Invitation to Innovative Parents

We know within our community there are parents who work in the Innovation and Enterprise space and are doing some exciting, progressive things that our young people should know about and be inspired by. The Festival of Ideas on the Secondary Campus is expanding to allow for this work to be showcased and I would like to extend an invitation to parents who might consider setting up a trade stall or exhibition, or to talk and share on their projects. Part of our mission with this is to kickstart our budding inventors, entrepreneurs and future business leaders to get glimpses of possible future pathways. If you would like to be involved please contact me via email: cemmerson@stjohns.sa.edu.au

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Catherine Emmerson
