It is that exciting time of year when we are launching the 2024/2025 Student leadership positions – open to all our current Year 10 and Year 11 students.

Appointed leaders will commence their leadership role at the start of Term 3, 2024 and finish their role at the end of Term 2, 2025.

For 2024/2025 the following leadership roles are on offer:

 

  • School Captains
  • School Vice Captains
  • House Captains
  • Wellbeing Ambassador
  • Sports Ambassador
  • International Ambassador
  • AWARE Ambassador
  • Reconciliation Ambassador

 

TIMELINE

Term 2

Week 2: Roles advertised to Year 10 and 11 students

Week 5: Nominations for ALL positions close Friday 31 May

Week 6:

  • Interviews for school captains
  • Interviews for ambassador positions

Week 7:

  • Wednesday – SS Assembly, followed by House speeches
  • Interviews for ambassador positions continued
  • Interviews for House Captains

Week 8:

  • Tuesday – All applicants informed (TBC)
  • Wednesday – House meeting announcement (TBC)

Term 3

Week 1:

Wednesday – Student Leader Induction at Secondary Assembly

 

If your child is interested in one or more of these positions (they are allowed to apply for more than one), please encourage them to review the position description, consider talking with the current student leaders in that role/s or the mentor teacher that oversees the work of the specific student leadership position. They are also most welcome to speak with their Head of House, Mr Lloyd or Ms Mitchell about any of the roles available. If they are applying for more than one position, separate applications are required for each position. All applications close on Friday 31 May, at 9.00am.
