Applications open from Week 2
There are numerous opportunities for students to lead at St John’s Grammar and we highly value the contributions and agency of our students. Our young people have a strong history of representing our school with pride and distinction and have been integral in leading changes that strengthen the school and contributing to the positive culture within our school community.
Every year at this time, we seek applications for our new student leaders, open to primarily Year 10 and Year 11 students, who will commence leadership roles within the Student Leadership Committee (SLC) from the start of Term 3, 2023 – end of Term 2, 2024. There are a range of opportunities including School Captains and Vice Captains, Senior School House Captains and a range of Ambassadors that lead areas of School Life. Please note that the Middle School House Captains are advertised in Term 3 and commence their roles from Term 4. More information about each role and the application process will be provided via Canvas (School Life) and through our Senior School assembly next week. All applications close on Friday 2 June (Week 5).
Every student at St John’s is encouraged to be a leader, both in their own lives and in the day-to-day life of the School. Taking responsibility for making good choices and leading by example, to be supportive, caring and inclusive of those around them, and to help build and nurture community, is all part of their personal leadership growth we are keen to foster.
Yours sincerely
Carlee Mitchell
