Year 12 Results 2019
The Class of 2019 have achieved impressive Year 12 results. The St John’s Grammar community is proud of their many successes, that reflect the desire and determination of our students to Soar Higher. The teaching staff is also thrilled with the outcomes and deserve special praise for the skill, wisdom and tireless support that characterises the commitment the team make to each and every student.
Our results this year build on a focus of achievement and success. Congratulations to our Dux, Madison Hornabrook who achieved an ATAR of 99.9 and Proximae Accessit, Ben Ransom and Kaitlyn Howlett who both achieved an ATAR of 99.75.
Congratulations also to Caitlin Driscoll who achieved three SACE subject Merits in Music Explorations, Psychology and the Research Project. Madison, Kaitlyn and Ben all achieved three Merits. Thirteen of our students were awarded a total of 21 Merits across 13 subjects.
Five students finished with an ATAR above 99, 25% of our domestic students finished in the top 5% nationally, with an ATAR above 95. A total of 37 students join our Top Guns, a unique group reserved for students who achieve an ATAR above 90, placing them in the top 10% nationally.
Eight students successfully tackled University subjects as part of the Headstart and Extension Studies programs and all achieved High Distinctions which convert to additional Merits in their final results.

Congratulations to School Dux, Madison Hornabrook, who achieved an ATAR of 99.9
Madison achieved three Merits in Business & Enterprise, English Literature and General Mathematics in addition perfect scores for two subjects studied at University through the Adelaide University’s Headstart program. Madison was also awarded the Bev and John Dayman Award for Business & Enterprise, the Elaine Mussared Perpetual Award for English Literary Studies and the Bray Family Award for General Mathematics.

Congratulations to School Captains, Kaitlyn Howlett and Ben Ransom, who tied for Proximae Accessit with an ATAR of 99.75.
Kaitlyn achieved 3 Merits for Research Project, English and Chemistry and was awarded The Victorsen Family Award for English and The Peter Mussared Award for Specialist Mathematics.
