Carol Service – St Peter’s Cathedral Day Rehearsal
On Wednesday 5 December, students involved in the annual Carols Service will attend a full day rehearsal at St Peter’s Cathedral in preparation for the service that evening.
Students will be traveling by bus and must report to the JBC Foyer at 10am so we can depart at 10:15am sharp. Accompanying staff will be Mr Stutterd and Ms Shelton, and some students will share a bus with Junior School students accompanied by Jenny Chapman and other Junior School staff. Mr Penfold and Ms Dickson will set up at the Cathedral in the morning and meet the buses when they arrive.
Students will return via bus, departing the Cathedral at 2:30pm, and arrive back at school at approximately 3:25pm. They will need to make their own travel arrangements to arrive back at St Peter’s Cathedral at 6:15pm ready to warm-up before the Service begins at 7:00pm.
Students will need to wear their full PE uniform on this excursion, so that their summer uniform is clean for the evening. They will need to bring water, recess and lunch, instruments and all necessary music. Students will not be permitted to leave the Cathedral to purchase food and drinks.
This is a non-negotiable rehearsal and full attendance is expected. Students in the Senior School will be expected to travel on the bus in their PE uniform with the rest of the students. They must arrive at school by 9:30am on Wednesday morning and sign in at Retreat House. If they arrive early they must wait in the library.
Please complete the attached Consent Form and return to Mr Stutterd or Ms Dickson by Monday 19 November.
