Dear Parents,
This year we will be offering students in Years 3-6 the opportunity to participate in the International Competitions and Assessment for Schools (ICAS) program run by Educational Assessment Australia. The assessments are designed to challenge and extend and provide additional challenge for the most able students.
The competition details are as follows:

| ICAS Writing | 8 Aug – 12 Aug 2022 |
| ICAS English | 15 Aug – 19 Aug 2022 |
| ICAS Mathematics | 29 Aug – 2 Sept 2022 |
| ICAS Spelling Bee | 22 Aug – 26 Aug 2022 |
Participating students will each receive a hard copy certificate reflecting their performance along with a performance report. Certificates and reports are given to the students once they have been received by the school.
If you would like your child to participate in any of the subjects listed above, please visit the new online Parent Payment System to make a direct payment to UNSW Global. The Parent Payment System is a simple and secure online payment service specifically for parents to purchase ICAS Assessments.

The closing date for nomination is Monday 1 August 2022.
If you would like your child to take part in any (or all) of the competitions, please register online and I will be notified by UNSW global.
Children will be reminded of the sitting times the week before the assessments begin.
