Kytons orders, Swimming Carnival update and more!

We had a lovely start to the year with our Parent Reps night on 22 February. Thanks to those ladies who were able to come along – it was very energising to sit around and share thoughts and ideas about the role of P&F in the School community, and how we can engage and serve our parents and families. We are looking forward to a great year!

Committee members Amanda Jarvis and Pam Wallace have organised a Kytons Easter Goodies run – your order forms should be on their way home, please feel free to offer them to family and friends as the more we sell, the more funds are raised for the P&F. And the goodies are delicious! Order forms need to be back by the 20 March, and goodies will be delivered on the 27 March, just in time for Easter.

The Parents Singing Group, ‘Parental Guidance Recommended’ are up and running, and looking for more members. If you love to sing, and want to meet some lovely people, come along on Tuesday evenings 6.45 – 7.45 at The John Bray Centre for Performing Arts.  Costs are $10 to come casually, or $65 for the term if you pay via the online payments portal. Email if you would like to know more!

The Junior School Swimming Carnival is next week, and P&F (with the help of our wonderful Class Reps) are organising a sausage sizzle lunch for the children. Year 5 parents have been nominated to help with gathering the BBQ gear, setting up and cooking, and cleaning up at the end – if you are planning to coming along, please offer some help as many hands make light work.  (And let me tell you, the BBQ is a welcome relief from the heat and noise of the Swimming centre!). Please get in touch with Year 5 Reps Lena Clark and Lisa Barnett if you are able to help.

I hope you have noticed our ‘Save the Date’ for the Gala Ball on Saturday 20 October. We are starting to contact families in our community with businesses that may be interested in becoming Sponsors for the evening, in exchange for premium advertising and promotional opportunities as we build the hype through the year. Please consider getting involved in the Ball, and perhaps have a think about what you may have to offer that could help us with our fundraising this year. We look forward to hearing from you!
