From the P&F

Week 4 already!  It has been a great start to the year, getting around to all the year levels and letting you all know what the P&F are planning for the year.  One of the most important jobs for us early in the year is to establish Parent Reps in all the Junior School classes – as always, our Junior Primary classes have been quick to volunteer, while our Years 3-6 classes are a little more reluctant to get on board. So if you are considering putting up your hand to be involved, we would love to know about it really soon!!  Barbecue season is nearly upon us, and we need Parent Reps to help establish rosters for helpers!

The Second hand Uniform Shop is going well, and it is great to see our stocks grow.  Thank you to those parents who have offered to help with this – hopefully we will organise to be open a little more than four times a term once we have taught our new helpers the ropes.  Our next opening is Saturday 3 March, 9.30 – 11.30am at the Railway Cottages on the Junior School Campus.

We have lots of social plans underway, and there are plenty of opportunities to be involved and be part of our wonderful St John’s Grammar Parent community, whether it be supporting your child’s sporting interests, or flipping a sausage on the BBQ.  Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have ideas to share, or talents to offer, and watch this space each fortnight for updates.
