A busy start at the ELC

What a great start we have enjoyed at the ELC. The new families were welcomed during our “Open House”, assisting children to become familiar with their classrooms and for parents to mix and chat.  ELC staff also held a Parent Information Evening in both buildings to share routines and expectations.

During the first week of term the “older” children have supported and cared for our new friends. There have been a few tears in the Rectory but after enjoying our beautiful garden space the tears seem to just disappear!

The ELC team have shown amazing dedication and enthusiasm to start the 2018 school year. Thank you to you all. However we have said goodbye to Mrs Gacic and Mrs Stewart who have chosen different career paths.  Over the next few weeks we welcome the support of Mrs Amanda Coombe in the ELC.

At the end of February (on a date to be confirmed) the Early Learning Centre and Junior School OSHC Programs will have our assessment and rating process. As part of the National Quality Framework, an authorised officer of the Education and Early Childhood Services Registration and Standards Board of South Australia will visit to observe practice, engage in discussions with staff and view documentation.

We are looking forward to sharing our practice and wonderful facilities. If you see someone sitting in the room or walking around observing our day they will be wearing an EECSB name tag.

Our door is always open if you would like to discuss your child’s journey at the ELC. We also understand that there are many commitments for families, so email is always an option too! If you have any questions or concerns please email your classroom teachers on;
