From the Junior School Music Department

Students in musical ensembles will be show-casing their musical talents at a number of performances this term, culminating in the annual music night on 21 September. In addition, students in Year 4 and 6 are preparing items for the above concert. More details will be sent home in a letter in due course.

  • Strings and Woodwind concert, 6.30pm, The John Bray Centre for Performing Arts Gloucester Ave, Year 4 Strings, Junior Strings, Flute Ensemble and Guitar ensemble
  •  Year 3 Grandparents Day: Strings performance, Wednesday 30 Aug 9.45am, Gillian Clampett Hall
  • Year 5 Grandparents Day: Band Performance, Thursday 14 September, 11.30am Holy Innocents Church, Sheoak Road, Belair.
  • Annual Music Night Years 3-6  In the Mood, 6.30pm Elder Hall University Campus, North Terrace, Adelaide.

Auditions for Finale at Elder Hall.

Year 5 and 6 students who like to dance have been invited to audition dancing to the music ‘Happy’ by Pharell Williams. These will take place in week 5 at a time to be advised.

Instrumental tuition and forms

We welcome a few new faces to our music team this term

  • Lena Clark: Piano tutor
  • Andrew Scott: Clarinet tutor Term 3
  • Megan Fishers: Voice tutor  Term 3
  • Maz Zilliotto: Drum tutor weeks 2-5

Forms for requesting commencement and discontinuation of lessons can be found on the school website here.

Please note that discontinuation forms are due by week 7 of the term prior to ceasing lessons. This enables tutors to plan their income streams and student lists with notice.
