About our Senior School
Our emphasis in these final years of school is on character development, academic rigour and leadership. Year 12 courses are delivered in a flexible format in which students are expected to take responsibility for their learning program within a monitored and secure environment.
We provide a setting in which our young adults grow in maturity, in independent thinking and in social responsibility. Electives enable specialisation based on study preferences, needs and strengths.
Leadership opportunities are provided through the House system and in service towards others. Through the House system, students learn respect and tolerance towards each other and to be resilient. Senior students are regarded as leaders in the School and set the example for others.
We continue to meet the needs of individuals in all areas of school life, striving for academic success balanced with the continuing development of key life skills.
Our Senior School provides opportunities for an ideal transition for our young adults towards further independence as future good citizens and leaders of society, who care for others, who willingly give to others, the environment and the future. They know and learn what it means to be a team player yet have the vision, strength and independence to also be positive risk takers in their own further development and the larger global society. Their education is provided by caring, passionate and committed staff who themselves embrace a culture of continuous learning.
