Overview

The St John’s Grammar Early Learning Centre provides 3 and 4 year olds with a happy, secure and vibrant learning environment, encouraging exploration, curiosity and enjoyment.

The purpose-built Early Learning Centre has a picturesque bushland setting with views across the city of Adelaide and Brownhill Creek Reserve. Koalas, kookaburras, parrots and ghekkos are often to be found within our grounds.  The Early Learning Centre incorporates the Three Year Old Program, “Monti”, and the Four Year Old Program “Preschool”.

The St John’s Grammar Early Learning Centre uses teaching methods inspired and guided by the Montessori tradition. Children experience a gentle, yet stimulating and structured, start to their school life. Classes are small, with the learning program designed around the spiritual, psychosocial, cognitive, creative and physical development of the children.

The Monti and Preschool programs run hand in hand with the South Australian Curriculum, Standards and Accountability Framework, SACSA.

By the time they reach Reception, our young boys and girls have grown in confidence and have a strong, positive foundation for their future learning.
