Philosophy

St John’s Grammar School is a community. It is a partnership of parents, students, staff and the Anglican Church. Students benefit enormously from the individually focussed education provided by our dedicated, passionate staff.

We strive to make all groups in the School community feel they are an integral part of our School and encourage participation, involvement and a sense of belonging.

We offer a safe, nurturing, welcoming and positive environment for our students. Our picturesque Adelaide Hills setting provides unique, natural surroundings, which enhance the wellbeing of students and staff alike, and is particularly appealing to our small number of International Students.

Student successes are celebrated in the School community. Leadership and learning opportunities are readily available and encouraged – for staff and students. Extensive and regular communication between teachers, parents and students ensure close, informative and supportive relationships are established, enhancing the community feel.

Our long-term goal is to produce citizens who are articulate and confident young men and women with a social conscience who can contribute to society, and leaders who want to journey through life with tolerance and compassion for others.
